Life in Song

So i really dont know why i am creating a new post.... Maybe ill figure it out as i type. Anyway on to an actual topic...(2o minutes later) Ive got it. Lets talk about songs that define my life. Well there is always It's My Life by Bon Jovi. The meaning is in the title my friends. Dont let anyone stop you from living your dreams. Ah and there is Working for the Weekend by Loverboy. Again the title basically gives away the meaning. Im sure everyone can relate to this song. Well a select few of my friends cant since they dont work!!! You know who you are!!! Anyway....... Paperback Writer by the Beatles. Yes i aspire to be a paperback writer. It is a dream that is a work in progress. First i have to find a good story to write, then i have to be inspired, then i need funding......a farfetched dream you may say. O yes and there is Strong Tower by Kutless. A religious song, pronouncing God. I know there are more songs out there that i could describe my life with, but unfortunately i am out of time. I thank you all and i bid you adoo.

2 Different Me's

Isnt it weird how I look changed so drastically with a simple hair cut?

Maybe its just me.... I think i look better with short hair. I dont know. Maybe i just like how i dont have to comb it.

Journey Owns

I really like Journey's Music! Not a fan of how they perform and how they look, but their music is good.

Debating

So i have been reading books for quite some time. Almost a year now. Anyway i was sitting at my computer when my dad said i should write a book. It is an interesting thought, and i would love to. The only thing is that if i do decide to write a book I would like to have a good subject. You know with some philosophical question that I discretely answer. Also I need to have some ideas, and right now i dont have any, but if i should write one. You will be the first to know. Anyway I dont think it is a good idea at the present.

So This book

Was the third book of the "Trilogy" of Eragon. Written by Christopher Paolini. I have been waiting for this book for what 2 years. I give Paolini that he was very young when he wrote the first two books, and that college would definitely slow him down. However, i felt that in this book he tried too hard to be an impressive writer. Sure his books were easy to read, but thats what made them original. He spent way to much time and detail on things that really didnt matter. Anyway there were deffinitely a few things that peaked my interest, but i dont feel that the time i spent reading was well worth it. I certainly hope that his last book is better than the end of the "trilogy".

Prayer

Father let me have strength so that i can deal with my sins. I have sinned repeatedly and have not been very close to you as of late. It is just so hard for me, i cant see you, cant touch you, i cant even hear you. I wish i was a believer that beleived and never looked back, but that hasnt been me. I believe in you because of the evidence that you left behind, and simply because of that. I need help with my 2 main sins: lust and lying. Please help me to prevent myself from doing either of these things. Also give me the will to go out there and actually talk to people. Ever since i broke up with Meagan i have been reclusive. I am afraid that if i show the true me to others that ill get hurt again. Please give me the strength to confront my fears. I also pray for all the others less fortunate than me. I have the good life and i know it. I wish there was no corruption, but as humans there always will be. I also pray for my friends, my aunt, and my family. Thanks you.

Amen

DaVinci Code

I recently found an old blog that i had forgotten i created. It was about the DaVinci Code. This book written by Dan Brown, is a great novel. Did you see what i just wrote? I said, "novel" as in fiction. IT is a story made up for entertainment. I dont know why Dan Brown persisted that this book was true. You can look up for yourself all the events and places that are and take place in his book. If you do this, you will find that all the sites and events are real, but he puts his own twist on them making them false. I guess this just shows that money can even corrupt a fictional novel. For God's sake (pun intended) it says fiction on the back of the book.

College Impressions

I have now started a new phase of my life. Unlike many of my good friends who have moved away to go to college, i have opted to stay home and go to the under appreciated USC "University of Saddleback College". I know I know we have all seen the movies where the guy who stays home and goes to college ends up being a mama's boy, is generally fat, lazy, plays video games in his basement, and has no friends. I swear on anything that i have of value (my Mac) that i will not become a sterotypical stay at home student. Anyway im getting off topic.

My first day of class was a little nerve racking. My first class was meteorology. When i first walked into the class my first thoughts were "Sweet nice chairs". Seriously these chairs are comfy. Anyway my Proffesor is in his mid 50's and he is kinda crazed. He is obsessed with Hurricanes. It is understandable, but in the next 4 days of class we would watch, study, and talk about upcoming hurricanes. Still havnt done any actual work.

Anyway off to my second class Philosophy. This class is all the way across campus. If you dont believe me ask Blake. Not only that but i have only 1o minutes to get there. Well i got there only a little late, and i walked in and this classroom was huge. It could sit probably 80 students if it had to. Anyway in the next hour and a half i would find out that my Proffesor Mrs. Agnew had launched her brain into orbit around Jupiter she had never saw fit to bring it back. I mean she is completely wierd. She dresses like a gypsy, plays "relaxing yet stimulating" music, and speaks into a microphone. I guess this is all part of the college experience right? And i guess it is to be expected of a philosophy teacher.

The next class i had was Political Science. First off i had to walk all the way back across campus again under 10 minutes. After I had accomplished that i found my class. The Proffesor a man in his 40's and as many of the student that have had him before, "the mad black guy" is pretty much the sanest teacher i have. He might have some crazy humor, but he has sound politcal knowledge, and seems to know every side of the argument. We shall see how that class goes.

Thats the end of my day. The rest of my classes i take at home. :) Those dont need to be talked about. Well anyway that was my first impression of my new life at college. Im off to do nothing for about another hour, then i shall probably clean my room.

Untill next time,
James

Sean of the Dead

This is my attempt to create a Sean of the Dead spoof. It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, but i am fairly proud of it.
